#LockAndLoad Spotlight: Formula P3 Grandmaster

There has been a ton of Warmachine news coming down the pipe from Lock and Load over the past weekend from Mountain Kings to Colossals. I want to shine a special spotlight on the most important, those who paint like a boss. This year’s winner was Brant Beniot, painting Epic Eiryss with technique that lives up to her name. (Can someone please confirm that it is the same Brant from Minifreak?)

What can I say? This is just amazing. On the model itself, the painting was crisp and concise. The purple gems on her knees and elbows look fantastic, as does the wood grain on the crossbow. What really sets this model apart however is the base! I can’t describe enough how many times I finish the base as an afterthought, but this model has changed my mind forever. The smooth blending on the “Eagle’s head” to give the impression of light moss grown over time, the plastic “fauna” that surrounds the brick, it really makes the model.

  • I don’t know about minifreak but Brant is a Canadian known as Ghool who does some articles over at Hand Cannon Online.

  • Subhedgehog

Minifreek is indeed Brandt/Ghool. I remember his Cygnar from last year’s Lock and Load. 🙂
